Accounting Manager

Rachel Browne, MBA is the Accounting Manager at E. Cohen. Her duties include maintaining the firm’s internal accounting, processing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing, Filing Sales and Use Tax, working with QuickBooks, Peachtree, and other accounting software.

Rachel maintains the business financial records of the firm and its IT company, and provides accounting services to clients of the firm as well. She works on the firm’s day-to-day activities, and performs a wide variety of tasks in accounting and bookkeeping, including:

  • Monitoring bank transactions, including wire transfers, account set-up, maintenance, and cash management operations
  • Reviewing invoices for appropriate coding, documentation, and contractual amounts
  • Processing client billing
  • Managing corporate cards and activities
  • Reviewing, preparing and posting journal entries to accounting software
  • Posting deposits accurately to customer invoices; reconciling and identifying adjustments
  • Fielding questions directed at accounts payable and receivable
  • Assisting with month end close procedures, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations and posting of journal entries
  • Processing accounts payable and ensuring all invoices and reimbursements are paid accurately and timely
  • Posting customer payments by recording cash receipts to the appropriate accounts and making daily deposits
  • Ensuring the client accounts are reconciled appropriately
  • Processing client credit card payments
  • Investigating account discrepancies
  • Researching and resolving invoice issues with customers and vendor payments
  • Identifying delinquent accounts and sending reminders to clients relating to past-due balances and collections
  • Preparing 1099’s yearly
