Outsourcing Manager

Marijia Bailey, CPA is a Manager in E. Cohen’s Outsourcing Services Group. Marijia brings over 14 years of accounting experience to the firm and has a proven track record of providing valuable financial advice and direction to her business clients. She provides accurate and timely accounting services to the firm’s clients in more complex business areas and trains staff level accountants within the Outsourcing Services Group, as well as actively seeks business development opportunities for the firm’s outsourcing clients.

Prior to joining E. Cohen, Marijia worked as a Manager at a national accounting firm, where she closely followed the progress of client work during engagements to ensure their completion in a timely fashion, planning and directing engagement workflows, and trained and supervised staff, seniors, and supervisors. She also worked as a Senior Accountant, where she managed all general ledger transactions for outsourced accounting clients and assisted these clients in preparing documentation for financial statement audits, as well as designed and implemented department controls and procedures for the clients.

Marijia earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Old Dominion University and a master’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the Keller Graduate School of Management.

Marijia is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Texas. Marijia is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA) and sits on its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Council. She is also a CPA Advantage Leadership Program Graduate of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants’ (TXCPA) San Antonio Chapter.

Marijia is skilled with various software, including MAS 200/Sage 100, Intacct, Solomon, QuickBooks Desktop & Online, Blackline, Microsoft Office, ProSystem Engagement & Tax Software, and ProSeries Tax Software.
