Kam Chun Lo, CPA is a Senior Manager in the Assurance Department at E. Cohen. She is responsible for planning and managing all phases of client engagements that includes financial audits, reviews and compilations and ensuring that quality client service is provided in a timely, responsive, and efficient manner.
Kam has nearly 15 years of public accounting experience, which includes: project management of audit, review, and compilation engagements as well as indirect costs rate audits for Federal Acquisition Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards compliance; internal control assessment; identifying and resolving complex accounting technical issues; and providing recommendations to clients based on audit results.
Prior to joining the firm, Kam worked as an Accounting and Auditing Manager at KatzAbosch, where she managed audits, reviews, compilations and agreed-upon engagements by multiple teams and proactively utilized her knowledge of client operations, processes, and business objectives to analyze their transactions, identify and resolve existing or potential issues with appropriate research and consulting, and make recommendations for business and process improvements. Prior to joining KatzAbosch, she was a Senior Manager in the Audit and Assurance Services Department at Glass Jacobson Financial Group. Before moving to Glass Jacobson Financial Group, she spent 11 years at Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP.
Kam is experienced in using Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and research tools such as RIA Checkpoint and Accounting Research Manager.
Kam is a Certified Public Accountant in both Maryland and Virginia. She graduated from University of Maryland University College with a Master of Science Degree in Accounting and Financial Management, and also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Decision and Information Technology from University of Maryland College Park. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA), and the Asian American Chamber of Commerce (AACC), where she sits on the Government Contracting / Supplier Diversity Committee.
