Doug Trueheart


Douglas (Doug) Trueheart is a Principal at E. Cohen. He has been with the firm for 11 years and brings over 30 years of experience to his position.

He provides financial and tax consulting services for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business transactions, as well as worked for the consulting affiliate of a law firm. He also has experience with international tax compliance and planning, internal investigations, litigation support, and SEC reporting in industries such as government contracting, pharmaceuticals, energy, construction and other real estate, financial institutions, motorsports, and communications.

In addition to his accountancy work, Doug consulted the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee on proposals for tax simplification, worked with the National Trade Association on proposed legislation, and lent his expertise to numerous publications as both a coauthor and as part of the editorial board.

Doug is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a former member of the AICPA S Corporation Taxation Subcommittee, and a member of the Washington S Corporation Study Group.


Doug is a representative of AICPA who has been published in several reputable accounting publications.
