Danáe Silver is a Senior Accountant in E. Cohen’s Tax Services Group. Danáe brings over 20 years of tax and accounting experience to the firm. She is responsible for assisting the Tax Services Group to provide accurate and timely tax services and train staff level accountants.
Prior to joining E. Cohen, she worked as a Senior Tax Associate at a top-20 nationally ranked accounting firm, where she prepared individual, C & S corporation, trusts, nonprofit, and partnership tax returns, and recorded monthly fiduciary accounting for trusts, including year-end compilations. She also created estimated net income projections to provide client with accurate estimated payment amounts and worked with clients with multiple Schedule C’s, Partnerships and S-Corps to resolve interrelated transactions. She previously worked as a Staff Accountant, where she prepared tax returns for high-net worth individuals with multi-state filings, as well as for clients with bank accounts in foreign countries.
She is experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, ProSystem fx, Lacerte Tax, QuickBooks, Zero, Document, Imanage, and XCM.
Danáe graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she was a recipient of both the 2012 Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants Scholarship and the 2012 Financial Executives International Scholarship.
