Cheryl Matrau is a Staff Accountant in E. Cohen’s Outsourcing Services Group. She brings over 10 years of accounting experience to the firm and is responsible for assisting the firm’s Outsourcing Services Group with accurate and timely accounting services.
Prior to joining the firm, Cheryl worked as a Staff Accountant at an IT service management consulting firm, where she audited and processed vendor accounts payables, prepared customer’s monthly invoices, reviewed all company expense reimbursements for proper coding and contract requirements, and reconciled fixed assets for the property tax returns. She also previously worked as a Client Accountant, where she prepared bank deposits and cash flow estimates, reconciled credit card and bank statements, researched areas of tax preparation for businesses, and calculated wages and withholding to prepare payroll checks.
Cheryl is experienced with Big Time, Accelo, Quickbooks, Creative Solutions, Prosystems Engagement, ADP TotalSource, 1099 Program, Sage Peachtree, Dreamweaver, GEMS, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office.
She is currently studying to complete her Certificate in Accounting from Frederick Community College. She is also a Certified Bookkeeper and a Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor.
