Do you remember what it was like waking up on Christmas morning all excited to find THAT one perfect toy under the Christmas tree that you just wanted for so long…… Remember how that felt as you unwrapped it? You were on top of the world!
Well some children don’t get to experience that dramatic feeling. All some children know is there will not be anything to wish on for Christmas morning unless someone with a giving heart is willing to make a difference in their life. That person can be you!!!
ECC is an Official Montgomery County Toys for Tots Toy Collection Site this year.
The toy drive began Monday, November 12th and runs through Wednesday, December 12th.
We have a whole month to fill up the boxes with NEW UNWRAPPED Toys!!! Of any kind!!! And if you just don’t like to shop at all there is a cash donation jug in the kitchen. If you choose to donate cash some of the ECC shopping elves will purchase toys prior to the 12th of December.
Want to donate but do not have a clue what to purchase: books, games, and things that encourage children to think while using it or playing with it. Items that they can use outside – like footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, or baseball gloves and baseballs. Stuffed animals are always a nice gift but do try to stay away from toys that require batteries.
Think about it – You can make a difference in the life of a child simply by picking up a toy of your choosing while you are out – you don’t even have to wrap it! What could be simpler?
Toys for Tots is a National organization that has been delivering hope to children since 1947. They have distributed over 548 million toys to date and are still going strong!
YOU can make a HUGE impact in the lives of the children right here in Montgomery County.
